Your Firearms Purchaser Identification card arrives as a PDF. We print it on rigid PVC for $10, or laser engrave it on black .45mm aluminum for $15 — printed in Boonton, NJ in 1–3 business days.
NJ FID card printing
New Jersey now issues the Firearms Purchaser Identification card electronically — a PDF you download from the state. We print that document onto a rigid, wallet-sized PVC card, or laser engrave it onto black metal, so your FID card stops living as a folded sheet of paper.
We have been printing cards in Boonton, Morris County since 2004. New-style electronic FID cards, older laminated cards and replacement cards all get the same treatment.
- Standard PVC FID card: $10, full color, CR80 wallet size, rigid white PVC.
- Black Edition MilSpec metal FID card: $15, thick .45mm gloss aluminum, laser engraved.
- Optional free-card credit is available when the cart has two or more paid cards.
- 1–3 business days for every card type.
- $1 regular mail statewide, or free pickup in Boonton, NJ.

Download the original PDF New Jersey issued for your Firearms Purchaser Identification card. Keep it exactly as the state sent it.

Choose PVC or black metal
The $10 PVC card prints in full color. The $15 black metal card is laser engraved on .45mm gloss aluminum and is available for new-style FID cards only — no photo is printed on metal.

For PVC, upload the state-issued PDF, a scan of the physical card, or another applicable file. For black metal, the original state PDF only — no screenshots, no photos of a screen.

Black metal FID card printing
The Black Edition MilSpec metal FID card is engraved rather than printed: thick .45mm gloss aluminum with a laser-etched face. It is available for new-style electronic FID cards only and will not carry a photo, so it needs the original PDF the state sends you — screenshots and photos of a screen will not engrave cleanly.

What file do I need for a metal FID card?
The original PDF file the state sends you, nothing else. No screenshots and no photos of a screen. Metal FID cards are new-style cards only and do not carry a photo.
Is the printed FID card an official state card?
No. We are a private print shop. New Jersey issues your FID credential; we print a durable, credit-card-strength card from the document you already hold. These cards faithfully reproduce your valid, state-issued credential for everyday reference and carry. Based on our review of the applicable requirements in consultation with the issuing agency and several New Jersey firearms attorneys, we are confident these cards serve as an appropriate way to demonstrate your credential to law enforcement.
How fast is FID card printing?
1–3 business days for every card type, then $1 regular mail or free pickup in Boonton, NJ once we email that the order is ready.
Can I print an FID card and a carry permit card together?
Yes. Add both to one order, upload a separate file for each, and a third card is free — the free card cannot be the black metal FID card.
