File requirements

Every card needs its own file. The cleaner the file, the sharper the card — most reprints we do are caused by a low-quality upload, not a printing problem.

• Best: the original state-issued PDF, exactly as the state emailed it to you.
• Also fine: a flat scan of the physical card, or another applicable file for insurance, registration and membership cards.
• Include both sides if you want a double-sided card.
• Black metal F.I.D. cards: the original state PDF only — no screenshots, no photos of a screen. New-style F.I.D. cards do not carry a photo.
• Keep names, dates and numbers fully visible — nothing cropped, blurred or covered.

How to order

1. Step 1

   Choose your card types

   Permit to carry, F.I.D., black metal F.I.D., SORA, RPO permit, insurance, registration or an other-ID card.

2. Step 2

   Attach a file to each card

   The cart will not let you check out until every card in the order has a file attached.

3. Step 3

   Use the free card if you want it

   Order any two cards and the next card is free — one free card per order. It is optional; skip it if you only need two.

4. Step 4

   Pick mail or pickup

   $1 regular mail, or free pickup in Boonton, NJ. We email you the moment the order is ready.

Turnaround, delivery and reprints

• Every card type prints in 1–3 business days.
• $1 regular mail statewide, or free pickup in Boonton, NJ once notified.
• If a card comes out wrong on our end, we reprint it free.

What these cards are — and are not

New Jersey issues most firearms credentials electronically now, as a PDF you download and keep. That PDF is your official credential. What we make is a durable, wallet-sized card printed on rigid PVC or laser-engraved metal.

We are a private print shop. We do not issue permits, we are not affiliated with the State of New Jersey, and a printed card does not replace or extend any credential. These cards faithfully reproduce your valid, state-issued credential for everyday reference and carry. Based on our review of the applicable requirements in consultation with the issuing agency and several New Jersey firearms attorneys, we are confident these cards serve as an appropriate way to demonstrate your credential to law enforcement. Always keep and carry your official document as your issuing agency requires.
